The CT FTC Championship on March 7th was a day of intense competition and gracious professionalism. Dave Mellon and his team from the Kingswood Oxford School and all the volunteers did a great job - tremendous for a first year event! The Winning Alliance was headed the MITiBots (FTC 2875, from Lexington MA), the Steel Hornets (FTC 118) and the Wyverns (FTC 36, from West Hartford). The MITiBots automatically qualify for the World Championships in Atlanta! We congratulate the entire alliance for their fine performance! The Finalist Alliance was led by Montclair Robotics (FTC 147), with the Staples Wreckers(FTC 577, from Westport CT) and Ursa Major (FTC 3041). The Think Award was won by Infernal Devices (FTC 2967). The Inspire Award was won by the AngelBots (FTC 120, from Sharon MA). They also automatically qualify for the World Championships in Atlanta! Photos from the CT FTC Championship Team Unlimited was glad to volunteer at the CT Championship, providing software troubleshooting, hardware inspection, practice field management and MC services for the competition, as well as photography. We were glad to see our friends from many teams do well, especially the AngelBots winning the Inspire Award and the MITiBots leading the Winning Alliance. We look forward to seeing them in Atlanta! |
